TastingNote: Planted in red clay over limestone in the Light Pass subregion, Henschke's2015 Marble Angel Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon offers up notions of mintand capsicum layered over cassis, easily concealing the 20% new oak on thenose. The full-bodied palate reveals hints of cedar and dry, woody tannins thatactually help restrain the runaway cassis train and keep it on the tracks to along, slightly warm finish. Despite the dusty tannins, I'd opt for drinking itover the next 5 years or so, while the fruit is still plush and vibrant.(Robert Parker)
