TastingNote: The 2016 Santenay Clos de Malte Rouge (Domaine Louis Jadot) is showingwell from bottle, bursting with aromas of ripe cherries, berries, raw cocoa andcinnamon, framed by a subtle touch of cedary new oak. On the palate, the wineis medium to full-bodied, velvety and vibrant, with a lavishly textural attack,tangy acids and fine-grained but abundant structuring tannins that assertthemselves on the finish. This will merit a bit of patience but is a fine valueproposition in 2016. (Robert Parker)
